
Chris Yohei Tokunaga is a Berlin-based electronic music producer and singer/songwriter. His immersive and cinematic productions are filled with rich sound design, evocative harmonies, and deep melodies. He released an array of singles and the 2016 EP, Nights for Days. He played shows at Loophole in Neukölln, Berlin, Storkow’s Alinae Lumr festival and the Mad Pride Parade at Südblock in Berlin. Since then , he has written three further EPs. His sophomore EP “Stars and Reveries” was written about his Psychosis in 2017 and the subsequent recovery a year later. His third EP, “Love Songs in The Purple Sky” featured 6 songs with music ranging from electro-pop to experimental . His latest EP “Flowers And Flames” is dedicated to his late Father who passed in 2009 and is a cinematic electronica EP. It also features more beat-driven electronic music productions. The last track on his fourth EP ”Flowers And Flames” named Becoming Weightless is the first of series of musical portraits he’s made. Chris is looking for interesting stories to write music to. He has lived with different forms of hallucinations for over 2 decades. With a deep interest in Spirituality, he hopes to turn the terrifying beginning of his hallucinatory biography around and embrace a positive existence. In the same breath, he will be documenting his journey in form of music.
